• Programs Act Together offers to foster children– Back 2 School, Christmas and Birthday Sponsorship, Essentials: Clothing and Food, General Assistance, Summer and Enrichment Scholarships, Prayer Partners, and Special Events.
• Programs Act Together offers foster parents- Bible Study, Mentoring, Random Acts of Kindness such as yard work or delivering meals.

Foster Parents
First of all we want to say thank you for following the Biblical mandate to care for orphans.  The Bible tells all Christians to “carry each other’s burdens.”  We seek to come along side you and “Act Together” to help meet the needs of the children you have taken in. 

What we Offer to Foster Families

• Back 2 School Event (August) – Each child will receive school supplies, hair cuts, medical and dental checks to start the school year off on the right foot.
• Christmas Sponsorship (December) – Foster children are eligible to be sponsored at Christmas.  Sponsorship includes gifts and clothing for you to give your foster children (from you) on Christmas.  We also have a Happy Birthday Jesus party for the children.  This is always a big hit with cake, ice cream, Santa Claus, gifts, crafts and games to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
• Easter Baskets and Spring Clothing (March/April) – Another annual event that’s always a ton of fun!  Each child receives an Easter basket filled with goodies. Spring clothing is available for growing children.  The whole family enjoys a cook out lunch, games, crafts, and an egg hunt.
• Essential Needs – Act Together offers clothing, furniture/bedding, diapers/formula and food on an as needed basis.  Please let us know about your situation and we will do our best to assist you in caring for your foster children.
• Birthday Needs – Let us know the birth date for your foster child and we will provide party supplies and gifts that you can give (from you.)
• Camp Scholarships in the summer.
• Support – We have prayer partners who will pray for your family on a daily basis.  We also offer Bible Study and Support Groups specifically for foster parents about the challenges of foster parenting. 
• General Assistance – Would you like for us to paint your foster child’s bedroom?  Help set up the room?  Provide meals while your family adjusts or during challenging times.
• Mentoring – We have foster parents with years of experience willing to assist struggling or new foster parents.
• Referrals – to networks, organizations, church groups and more for foster parents.
• Misc. – We seek to meet the needs where they exist and are open to helping with various needs.  Let us know and each desire/need will be evaluated on a case by case basis depending on the resources and volunteers we have available.  Examples: help with landscaping, yard work, repairs, childcare, etc.

All of our programs are funded by generous donations from people in our community.  There is never a cost for foster families.
